Requirements

The organizers of this conference wanted to use SMS as a communication channel in two ways. First, they wanted to provide their participants with the ability to ask the conference speakers questions via SMS. They also wanted these questions to be available on their Twitter #hashtag, just as questions asked over Twitter.

Secondly, because they had lots of workshops, they wanted to give the participants a way to get their workshop registration list over SMS.

We provided two mobile phone number for them and also made the solution ready so people could send SMS to a dedicated number to ask questions to the speakers and also a dedicated number for workshop registration queries. Now if a participant sent his or her name to this number, the system would automatically reply back with a message including the workshops' name and duration that the participant has been registered for the specific date.
